Intern with The Center Foundation and gain valuable experience working for a non-profit organization.

Are you a mature and responsible high school, college, or graduate student interested in women's issues? Are you sensitive to the challenges faced by low-income women and teen parents? We have rewarding internship opportunities for you.

Internships are available for high school, undergraduate, and master's level graduate students. Internship responsibilities vary greatly according to the student's field of study and stage of education. Graduate students seeking internships should contact us to learn about direct service and other opportunities.

Intern Qualifications

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • The ability to work independently on multiple projects simultaneously

  • Access to a car or public transportation to our office in Media, PA (Septa R3 Line)

  • Computer proficiency and strong research skills

Intern Responsibilties

Potential intern responsibilities might include assisting with the operations of the WomenCare and YPSN mentoring programs, including:

  • Conducting research on "best practices" for mentoring, teen pregnancy, welfare-to-work, and self-sufficiency projects
  • Planning, creating flyers, and tracking educational workshops and special events for program participants
  • Assisting with/at training or events
  • Performing minor administrative tasks
  • Interviewing participants for surveys and research studies

If you are looking to earn college or high school credit for an internship, we will do our best to meet your school's requirements.
